Early in my crochet journey, I decided I would be a freehand crocheter, meaning I could figure out designs, patterns, and styles simply by looking at an item. Knowing THYS is how I crocheted, a family friend approached me with a special request. Her son was having a baby girl (her first grandbaby!) and she had a special idea for their gift.
When she had her son over 30yrs ago, he received a handmade blue & white granny square blanket. Now that he was having his first child, she wanted his daughter to have the same! After hearing her idea, I couldn't help but join in her excitement!
She shared with me photos of the blanket, the desired size, and the color scheme she was looking for. After a short but detailed discussion, her idea became a reality and we were all set to go. We were both beyond excited with how the blanket came out and now her grandbaby and son share something they can treasure together forever.

When I first started crocheting, I was bad...like super bad. lol The only thing I could successfully create was one long chain of yarn. Eventually, I learned to create basic stitches and then, headbands!! After headbands, I ventured into super long and wide headbands aka scarves. haha At THYS point though, all of my projects were extremely misshapen, missing stitches, inconsistent, and knotted up!
As frustrating (and admittedly ugly) as my early projects were, I kept them. Each new failure, was a new lesson for how I could do it better next time. Fast forward to today, and I've made a habit of restoring my old projects and giving them new life! I even did a series on my Instagram for a while called "Trash to Treasure" as my own version of #transformationtuesday. Sometimes I have to rework stitches and other times I have to patch up holes. Either way, the struggle projects of my yesteryears have equipped me with the ability to restore projects today!
Restoring my own previous works, eventually led to requests from friends & family, and now, I can restore yours as well!

THYS service is for crochet repairs including but not limited to fixing tears, repairing borders, covering holes, etc.
When my aunt passed, my parents and I traveled to her home to assist with managing her personal items and taking care of her space. In the midst of organizing items, we found a bag of yarn, an old pattern book, crochet hooks, and an incomplete shawl. Although I come from a very crafty family, I had no idea THYS aunt crocheted as well!
Her work was absolutely beautiful but was only about 3/4ths of the way finished. With her son's permission, I brought the materials home to complete her final project and gifted it to my mother. Although there was a pattern, I added my own personal touches as well such as a modified border and a tie in the front to match my mother's style.
When booking THYS service, we'll work together to discuss what your vision is for your incomplete project. Whether it is to honor a loved one or complete something you haven't had time to pick back up, it's a great way to take care of any project in need of some final touches.
General Starting at $30
